Norbert Gyömbér: When he’ll be back on field?

Originally, predictions sad that Norbert Gyömbér could be back in three weeks. But from his thumb fracture undergone almost two months now, but Norbert’s name is still missing in the line-up AS Roma, or Slovak national team.

Norbert, what is your state of health?

– Big toe is healing slowly. Yet it is not 100% conjoined. It was a very unpleasant fracture.

What can you do for training?

– I train individually. Acceleration and less contact with the ball. Of course I am often in the gym.

When would you be able to return on field?

– I dare not guess. I would be happy if it were up to two weeks.

What it is current atmosphere in AS Roma?

– Excellent! We have won eight duels in series. In the last nine duels we lost only two points.

Still dare for the first or second place? Loosing 10 points to Juve and 7 to Napoli. In a few weeks you wellcome Napoli …

– By the end of the season still eight rounds left to play. Firstly, we look at ourselves and our results. The title is already ahead, but we will fight for the second certainly. Of course, it is not only in our hands.

The club changed their coach two months ago. What has changed Spaletti?

– I think the major change occurred at the base for training. Hand in hand with this came a good game and good results.

It definitely surprised that, despite the injury, coach Kozak called you to the national team meeting.

– Certainly I was very pleased. Just before the nomination, I was in contact with Mr. Tarkovič assistant coach. I explained my condition and it was finally decided i will come to the meeting. I am grateful that despite the injury I could be with a team.

What all have you done? The atmosphere was the same good as in the autumn?

– Besides training, there were planned several activities outside of soccer. The atmosphere in the national team was excellent, I hope it will last as long as possible.
