Ďubek is fantastic

Who would have said it a year ago. In the summer of 2012, Tomáš Ďubek found himself among a group of “unwanted” players who had been banned from MFK Ružomberok’s locker rooms.

“A year ago, I had no idea what was going to happen to me,” the 26-year-old midfielder smiled. And now, I am among the best. That’s great.”  Tomáš finally returned to the team last year, becoming a central figure of MFK. He was named Ružomberok captain and scored nine goals in the spring. Then he was invited to join Slovakia’s national team. “I’m glad I could prove to everyone that I can still help both my club and the national team with my play,” said Ďubek, who recently extended his contract with “Rose” until the summer of 2016. I’m glad the whole season went well for me.”
