Marek a Robo are in a top ten

If Marek Hamsik will be a winner of a title again we reveal March the 28th in Žilina on 22nd  poll of Soccer in Slovakia.

Best Footballer of the Slovak Republic for 2014 will emerge from these candidates (in alphabetical order): Jan Durica (Lokomotiv Moscow), Marek Hamsik (Napoli), Tomas Hubocan (Dynamo Moscow), Matthew Kozáčik (Pilsen), Juraj Kucka (Genoa), Robert Mak (PAOK Salonika), Viktor Pečovský (Žilina), Peter Pekarik (Hertha Berlin), Martin Skrtel (Liverpool), Vladimir Weiss (Lekhwiya).

The 22nd year  34 experts voted together- 19 trainers and 15 journalists. For 2014 poll only 21 players recieved votes which is a historical minimum. In the elite top ten for the year 2014 compared with the previous year a pair of newcomers have appeared: Robert Mak and Viktor Pečovský. For Rob’s first ever participation in the elite Ten.

So far, the triumph in the poll of Pravda and SFA enjoyed 13 football players, leader is Martin Skrtel with four first places (2007, 2008, 2011, 2012), Dušan Tittel has triumphed three times (1995, 1996, 1997) and as well Marek Hamsik (2009, 2010, 2013 ), Marek Mintal triumphed twice (2004, 2005). Interesting is that since 2006, when Robert Vittek triumphed in the poll leadership shared only Martin Skrtel and Marek Hamsik.
