Again bad luck for the end of the year. On the first tuesday´s training after christmas Slovak footballer Norbert Gyömbér broke the thumb on his right hand.
Norbi what happened?
– Sliding tackle.
Did you know immediately that it’s broken?
– No. It hurt me so I passed the tests after training. They showed it is broken. And maybe I damaged the ligaments.
Did you train today?
– No. In a moment (evening at 18.00.) i fly to Germany. More specifically to Hamburg.
Why there?
– One of our doctors is a German who has experiences with such injuries. For example, he operated a boxer Kličko. He knows the condition of my thumb and I wanna train again as soon as possible, so we’re going to Hamburg.
When do you come back?
-The surgery is on Wednesday night. On Thursday, I should already be back in Rome. Thumb will be probably in the plate, so i should train again first of January.
Regarding injuries the 2015 was not the best for you …
– Exactly. I had problems with my ankle and now my thumb. Good thing it happened this year … (smile). I believe that I have spend all bad luck and in 2016 I will be in a good physical condition.
