Pavol Bajza: Critical end of season

Unbelievable thing happened. Parma ended in the Italian top league on sixth place and will start in the Europa League in fall. Also Pavol Bajza is a member of the blue – yellow team.

How were the final minutes on Sunday at the stadium in Parma?

– We beat Livorno 2-0 and waited for the outcome of Florence, where we played against our opponent  FC Turin to participate in the Europa League. They hard time for us until the last minutes of the match.

In Florence, it was hot. In 93rd  minute when score was 2:2 referee whistled for a penalty…

– Our fans had headphones and were listening to radio transmission. When guests were about to kick the penalty, the entire stadium fell silent. And in a few seconds when the player missed goal of Turin, huge joy started. Stadium nearly exploded…
How were the celebrations?

-As First on the field. Area was proposed by President and a Director of club. Then we moved to celebrate to the club where our closest were with us. It was fantastic.
Parma returns in the European scene after eight years.

– That’s great. No one expected such a great result.
If I am personally satisfied with the season?

-I got five times in a goal. I have played two matches in Italian Cup, three in Serie A. With my performances they were satisfied. And so I look at it too.
Target for next season?

– I would like to catch more. We’ll see where. Maybe in Parma, maybe in another club.
For how long is your holiday?

– I should report back to Parma on July the 1st.
What are you planning to do during the holidays?

– Mainly I want to be with my family and girlfriend Simona. We are going to the sea and with parents in the High Tatras .
